Gaco Western, Inc. is one of the oldest and best respected manufacturers of elastomeric coatings and polyurethane foam for the construction and waterproofing industries. With manufacturing plants in Tukwila, Washington and Waukesha, Wisconsin, Gaco Western employs a total of over 70 people in its corporate and central offices, and in its sales force.
Gaco Western manufactures polyurethane foam as well as elastomeric coatings of neoprene, Hypalon®, aromatic and aliphatic urethane, silicone, epoxy and acrylic emulsions as well as various primers, flashing compounds and adhesives. These products are used in systems designed for roof, pedestrian and traffic decking, membrane waterproofing, protection of spray-applied polyurethane foam, interior insulation and industrial applications for corrosion and abrasion protection.
During the late 1930′s a rubber salesman, Ed Gates, began experimenting with liquid neoprene coatings for many potential uses. Enthused by his findings, he founded The Gates Company in Wilmington, Delaware. With support from the du Pont family, he began to manufacture coatings for various uses, including industrial corrosion protection.
The Gates Company had only moderate success under Ed Gates, as he was more of a tinkerer than a business manager, so in 1940 he sold it. The company was then re-named Gates Engineering Co., with the trade name “Gaco” being retained from GAtes COmpany.

Gaco Western Roof Systems: Innovative foam & coatings technology to waterproof any shape or substrate
Whether you’re rehabbing an existing foam roof or coating a new metal roof, Gaco Western has a roof system to meet your needs. Gaco spray foam and coatings provide seamless insulation and waterproofing, and are fully adhered to the substrate. This eliminates common sources of leaks and pooling water beneath roofing material.
Gaco coatings are elastomeric, meaning they are able to stretch as the substrate warms and cools through the day and through the seasons. Characterized by high physical properties, GacoFlex coatings are tough enough to withstand years of abuse by sun and weather.

GacoRoof Warranty
Gaco Western warrants that the GacoRoof Silicone Roof Coating will last 50 years on the surface it is applied to, subject to strict adherence to Gaco Western application instructions, and subject to Gaco Western recommended maintenance procedures. This warranty is limited to GacoRoof silicone roof coating only. If GacoRoof silicone roof coating does not meet the warranted standard, Gaco Western will replace GacoRoof silicone coating at no cost to purchaser. Proof of purchase required with original receipt. WARRANTY SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDES ALL LABOR OR COSTS OF LABOR, and ALL INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND. The GacoRoof limited warranty excludes abuse of installed roof coating in any way, including, but not limited to: pedestrian traffic, physical abuse, substrate failure, animal life, vandalism, and all natural disasters. The substrate GacoRoof silicone roof coating is applied to must be structurally sound and have a reasonable life expectancy prior to be being recoated with GacoRoof silicone. This warranty is void if GacoRoof silicone roof coating is painted, patched or covered over in any way with any product other than GacoRoof silicone. This 50-year limited warranty is not transferable to successive property owners. Gaco Western has no control over the variables involved during application of a GacoRoof silicone roof coating. Therefore, Gaco Western cannot guarantee results of the application. This includes, but is not limited to: appearance, watertight capabilities, and suitability of the substrate. Gaco Western offers no other express or implied warranties.
